Maintaining an International Presence.

Exporting our products across the globe continues to be an important part of our business, which has been further enhanced by our attendance at the International Palm Oil congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Our products, manufactured in England, are favoured by many of the Responsible Palm Oil Suppliers, and the congress and accompanying exhibition provide the ideal platform to maintaining relationships with existing customers, whilst networking with new companies in the market place.

Nick Landon, Managing Director of Precision Chains commented on the exhibition,

"…By maintaining a reputation for quality, we are able to maintain a relationship supplying our UK made products to Responsible and Sustainable Palm Oil manufacturers. The market conditions are challenging, however by keeping control of our overheads, we have been able to maintain our position as a supplier of first choice to the global market, with product Made in England, in the Heart of the Black Country…”

Through our presence in South East Asia, our wholly owned subsidiary, Precision Chains Malaysia Sdn Bhd., is able to support our customers in the region with technical expertise and strategic stock. This allows for Precision Chains Malaysia to service sales across the South East Asia region including Cane Sugar Mills in Indonesia and across the Philippines.

Precision Chains Malaysia Sales Director, said of the event "…this is an opportunity to market our products to a new and existing audience, where our UK manufacturing base gives confidence to our customer for both technical excellence and superb quality…”.

Growing the team…

With Andy Raybould leaving the company at the end of this year for pastures new, we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Quality Manager.

Lee Tester has joined the team with over 20 years industry experience and will oversee the Quality and Health and Safety functions within the business, and will champion the transition of our Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

Lee's experience will quickly be used to support the growth of the company into new markets whilst ensuring that we remain competitive both at home and overseas. Lee has a keen eye for detail and some great ideas to support our existing good practices and we look forward to bringing him into the fold.

In support of our plans for export growth, we are proud to welcome back a familiar face to many, Mel Jones who retired last year as our Quality Manager. Mel has re-joined the team on a consultancy basis – bringing to bear the many years' experience he has in driving a number of projects in the business that will facilitate our growth. Working closely with our Managing Director, Nick, he will be helping to implement a number of manufacturing initiatives that will improve productivity and reduce our manufacturing costs, particularly across our Cane Sugar business.

Christmas Shutdown…

The build up to Christmas is traditionally a busy time of year for us, as many of our customers take advantage of their shutdown period to conduct essential maintenance and repairs to their production equipment.

In support of this we have a number of stock chains, to both British and International Standards available as both Ex Stock, and Same Day Dispatch to make sure that equipment can be back online as quickly as possible.
